White Woods Public School in Sturgeon Falls, was completed in association with Makrimichalos Cugini Architects. Co-located with a high school, the new facility was very well received by the Near North District School Board, staff and students and community at large. The school accommodates 228 students and features an efficient plan, with special features such as wood framing and skylights at the lobby and adjacent library. A tight timeline and budget were critical factors in the planning and ultimately the success of the project.
Mr. Mitchell and his staff are highly professional. Working with them was always characterized by respect and willingness to understand the needs of the school district. It was clear that they wanted the best value and facilities for students and staff.
